heaven!!!

[as found in ancel keys 1950s study seven countries] the least amount of heart disease was on the island of crete, where the predominantly rural population ate a huge amount of meat.  the balance of their caloric intake consisted of grain, fruit, and vegetables, along with a staggering amount of olive oil - it accounted for forty percent of their diets. for the farmers there, it was literally a beverage. they actually drank it for breakfast...[they] had no processed or packaged foods, no electricity, and no stress...they ate real food, walked a lot, went to bed when it got dark, got up when it was light, took care of their own children, and didn't worry about 'keeping up with the strovropopouloses.'
